When was AroundNiagara.ca born?

AroundNiagara.ca was originally conceived and created in February of 2002 with a simple mission: gather together links to websites of local businesses and organizations in the Niagara region, categorize them and post them on the web as a quick and easy jump point for local residents. We also added to the home page an integrated Google search and links to useful websites that people could use everyday. The original site was very basic and limited in function yet was still frequented by thousands of residents in the Niagara region each month.

How has AroundNiagara.ca changed?

In October of 2005 the new AroundNiagara.ca was launched and takes our original concept a big step further. Now anyone in the Niagara region of Ontario can add a listing to AroundNiagara.ca through our fully automated website which is tied to a comprehensive backend database. Each listing in our database represents a business or organization in Niagara detailing important information such as phone numbers and physical addresses, website and email addresses, and more.

How does AroundNiagara.ca benefit me?

Whether you are a resident of Niagara or a visitor from across the globe our website is 100% free for you to use. You can browse for contact information for a business, a website address of a local organization, search for a restaurant for a nice evening out or, if you have a local business or belong to a local of organization you can add your listing FREE!

Also, from our homepage we still have our integrated Google search, to allow you to quickly search the entire world wide web for the information you need, as well as some useful links to other websites such as local movie showtimes and local traffic cams.

Yes. To help supplement the ongoing costs of maitaining and hosting a website we offer two methods in which you can advertise on AroundNiagara.ca. At the top of every page we allocate space for a Leaderboard banner ad (728 x 90 pixels) and on our home page we allocate space for "Featured Listings" enabling local businesses and organizations to gain additional exposure.
